Lucas Williams
Director of Web Development

Lucas hails from Indianapolis where he served as senior graphic designer for the Licensing Division of Reebok/adidas. At Taproot Creative, he holds the title, “Director of Development.” His day-to-day activities involve a dash of this and a pinch of that, culminating in a stew of awesomeness. When pressed for the secret formula, Lucas provided the following:
Mt. Dew + Textmate + Photoshop + Lightroom = Director of Web Development

Lucas believes interactive design should function as well as it looks. His appreciation for aesthetics and user experience is demonstrated in all aspects of his work. His normal activities include handling xHTML and HTML5 markup, cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility, and ensuring all sites meet the necessary ADA accessibility standards (508 compliance). Lucas is also well-versed in server optimization and configuration and the nuances of graphic design.
While his current responsibilities tip heavily toward web development, Lucas’ roots are actually in graphic design. He attended Vincennes University and IUPUI in Indy where he studied Commercial Art & Design.
When he’s not banging away on a keyboard at work, Lucas is usually… well, banging away on a keyboard at home playing LoL (that’s League of Legends for regular folks) or spending time with and taking photos of his wife and daughter.
