Tait has spent nearly two decades as a research, communication and marketing professional, and now serves as the Chief Research Officer of Taproot iNSiGHT.
Taproot iNSiGHT is a division of Taproot Creative, in partnership with The iNSiGHT Cooperative, that conducts and analyzes formative and evaluation research related to marketing and behavior change. This research provides our clients with insight into the minds of their key stakeholders and helps inform marketing and communication strategies and messages, as well as website development plans. Conducting such research before, during and after communication projects and campaigns helps clients maximize their resources by minimizing opportunities for error in strategy and approach, and ensures the end product achieves the desired results.
An Emmy®, Silver Anvil®, Telly® and Gold Addy® award winner, Tait presides over a national network of researchers and industry experts that help clients focus their outreach messages, build stronger relationships and develop programs that better define the way they reach the people who matter to them. The researchers, many of whom are bi-lingual and bi-cultural, have conducted projects for clients ranging from international corporations and local nonprofit organizations to government agencies and higher education institutions. Tait is also an affiliate professor of social marketing in the College of Public Health at the University of South Florida.
Tait’s career includes stints as vice president of research for a national social marketing and advertising firm; faculty member at four top-tier higher education institutions; communication director for one of the largest nonprofits in Louisiana; spokesperson for a major state government agency in Florida; marketing consultant to several industry and professional organizations; and a morning radio talk show host.
Widely cited in both academic and applied research circles, Tait holds a Ph.D. in Communication Theory and Research from Florida State University, as well as a Masters in Organizational and Interpersonal Communication from the University of Louisiana.
To date, Tait has conducted hundreds of projects and presentations about research, social marketing, organizational development and communication to clients ranging from international corporations and local nonprofit organizations to government agencies and higher education institutions.
